1. Agreement to these terms

These terms apply when you access or use TidyHop. By creating a parent account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have authority to create the household and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.

2. What TidyHop provides

TidyHop is a private family routine service for children aged 5–10 and their parents or guardians. It helps families plan chores, record completion, review activity and track real-world rewards. It is not a parenting, medical, educational, emergency or behaviour-assessment service.

TidyHop does not guarantee that a child will complete chores, develop a particular habit or achieve a particular family outcome. Parents remain responsible for deciding which chores and rewards are safe, suitable and age-appropriate.

3. Parent and child accounts

• A parent account must use accurate current information and may belong to only one household.
• Parents in a household have equal access. Invite only a parent or guardian authorised to see and manage the household’s information.
• Child access is created and supervised by a parent. Children must not create independent public accounts.
• Keep passwords, PINs, recovery codes and authenticator secrets private. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it results from our failure to take reasonable care.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use TidyHop to break the law, harm or exploit a child, harass another person, access another household, test or bypass security without written permission, introduce malicious code, scrape the service, interfere with its operation, or resell access. Do not put highly sensitive information, unsafe instructions or content unrelated to family routines into chore names, notes or support messages.

5. Subscription plans and prices

TidyHop’s public launch plans are A$39 per household per year or A$4.99 per household per month. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. One subscription covers the children and invited parents in one household.

Before any charge, the checkout will show the plan, billing period, total price, renewal timing and any applicable trial or promotion. A subscription begins only when payment is confirmed.

6. Renewal and cancellation

Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period until cancelled. You may cancel before the next renewal without an early termination fee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and the household keeps paid access until then.

We may change future subscription prices by giving reasonable advance notice. A price change applies no earlier than the next renewal after that notice. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

7. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service has a major problem, you may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, along with any other remedy the law provides.

We do not ordinarily provide refunds merely because you changed your mind after a paid period began, but we will correct duplicate or unauthorised charges and consider fair requests. This does not limit your statutory rights.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep TidyHop secure and available, but internet services sometimes need maintenance or experience interruption. We may improve, replace or remove features where reasonably necessary. We will give reasonable notice when a material change reduces the core paid service, unless urgent security, legal or operational action is required.

9. Your family content

You keep rights in the names, chores, instructions, rewards and other content you enter. You give TidyHop permission to host, process, back up and display that content only as needed to operate and protect the service. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

10. Suspension and closure

You may stop using TidyHop and close your account through the protected account controls. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect a child or another person, respond to a security risk or legal requirement, address non-payment, or deal with a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to fix the issue.

11. Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Any limits in these terms do not apply where the law does not allow them, including applicable consumer guarantees, or to liability caused by fraud, wilful misconduct or negligence that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or security changes. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of material changes. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have for a paid period. If you do not agree to a material change, you may cancel before the next renewal.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Mandatory rights available in another Australian state or territory continue to apply.
